At a programme organised to mark Teachers’ Day, Mr. Haribabu emphasised the need to provide basic amenities in all government and municipal schools. “As a part of the CSR initiatives, public sector undertakings are extending immense support to improve infrastructure of schools and as a result about 7,000 benches were provided in various government and municipal schools recently.

Collector Pravin Kumar, who participated as chief guest, said: “The occasion gives us an opportunity to recall how each teacher played an effective role in moulding our interests as well as our career path. Apart from core academic activities, the focus should also be on providing holistic education for better learning outcomes.” Those who walked away with the district awards felt that the achievement had set them a new standard to impart quality education and motivate students. The award presentation function was attended by ZP Chairperson Lalam Bhavani, District Education Officer G. Nagamani and Deputy DEO C.V. Renuka, and other officials attended the programme.
