Two killed in clash in Uttar Pradesh's Azamgarh

VARANASI: As many as two persons were killed and two others got seriously injured in a clash at Chakmeua village in Rani Ki Sarai area of Azamgarh district on Sunday night. Adequate police force has been deployed in the village in view of prevailing tension. Meanwhile, police force has been deployed in the village to avert any untoward incident.The Azamgarh SP Ajay Sahni said that a manhunt was launched to nab the accused. Two of them Sudarshan and Muniram died at the spot, while two others were injured seriously.The police reached there after getting information and rushed the injured persons to the hospital.

No arrest has been made so far in this connection.According to reports, four persons including Sudarshan Chauhan Rajiv Chauhan and Ashok Chauhan were returning to village on two motorcycles around 11pm on Sunday night when they were attacked with sticks and other weapons by a group of people. The attackers beat them badly. Two of them Sudarshan and Muniram died at the spot, while two others were injured seriously.The police reached there after getting information and rushed the injured persons to the hospital. An FIR was lodged against Shiv Shankar Yadav and others. However, the police were yet to make any arrest. Meanwhile, police force has been deployed in the village to avert any untoward incident.The Azamgarh SP Ajay Sahni said that a manhunt was launched to nab the accused. The incident was the fall out of an old enmity, he said.
