BJP state president and former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi today took a dig at the state government over the death of Mangal Munda, the great grandson of Birsa Munda.  Marandi said that Mangal Munda, the great grandson of Lord Birsa Munda, died due to negligence in the medical system. This chaos has exposed the Hemant government. Marandi said that late Mangal Munda, who was seriously injured in the accident, was brought to Sadar Hospital after the accident and then admitted to RIMS 6 hours later. Meanwhile, he remained in the ambulance. Marandi said that if such treatment is meted out to the descendant of martyr Birsa Munda, then what will be the condition of the common man of the state. This is the height of insensitivity. He said that a high-level inquiry should be conducted into the gross negligence in the treatment of late Mangal Munda and strict action should be taken against the culprits. Marandi paid tribute to the late Munda and prayed to God for the peace of his soul. He said that the entire BJP family stands together in this hour of grief. Mangal Munda, the great-grandson and descendant of Bhagwan Birsa Munda in Jharkhand, died suddenly on Thursday (28 November) night. After being seriously injured in a road accident, he was undergoing treatment at RIMS, where he breathed his last. This has been confirmed by the PRO of RIMS Ranchi. Mangal Mundas death has caused a wave of mourning in the political corridors of Jharkhand. Jharkhand Assembly Speaker Rabindranath Mahato has expressed grief over the sudden demise of Mangal Munda. He wrote, "Received very sad news of the sudden demise of Mangal Munda ji, a descendant of Bhagwan Birsa Munda. May God give peace to the departed soul and strength to his family to bear this unbearable pain." At the same time, BJP leader Deepak Prakash wrote, "The news of the death of Shri Mangal Munda ji, the great-grandson of Dharti Aba Bhagwan Birsa Munda, who was undergoing treatment at RIMS, Ranchi for the last several days, is very sad. I pray to God to give this pious soul a place in his lotus feet." Hatia seat MLA Naveen Jaiswal expressed grief and posted on social media, "The news of the untimely death of Mangal Munda ji, a descendant of Dharti Aaba Bhagwan Birsa Munda ji is extremely painful. Just yesterday I met him at RIMS and enquired about his health. Today early in the morning, I am very sad and distressed by this unpleasant news. I pray to God to give a place to the departed soul in his lotus feet and give strength to his family to overcome this immense grief." Meanwhile, Raghubar Das daughter-in-law and Jamshedpur East MLA Purnima Sahu has also expressed grief over Mangal Mundas death. She wrote, "The sad news of the sudden death of respected Mangal Munda ji, a descendant of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, has been received. I pray to Baba Baidyanath to grant peace to his departed soul and give strength to his family to bear this unbearable grief."
