Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) celebrated Constitution Day with great enthusiasm. The theme of this year was "Our Constitution, Our Honor". The purpose of the occasion was to underline the importance of the Indian Constitution and to increase awareness among employees about its principles, rights and duties. The event was attended by CCL Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD), Nilendu Kumar Singh, Director (Finance), Pawan Kumar Mishra, Director (Personnel), Harsh Nath Mishra, Director (Planning/Project), Satish Jha, union representatives and a large number of employees. At the beginning of the event, the dignitaries present offered floral tributes to the statue of Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, the architect of the Constitution of India, and paid homage to him. In his address, Singh described the Constitution as the soul of Indian democracy. He said that the Constitution is not just a document but it is a symbol of diversity, unity and democracy of our country. It provides the right to equality, liberty and justice to every citizen. We must understand our duties and imbibe the values of the Constitution in our lives so that we can build a strong and prosperous India, he added. Other dignitaries also addressed the gathering during the event and stressed the importance of the Constitution and the need to uphold its principles. The function concluded with a mass oath on the Preamble of the Constitution of India, in which the employees reiterated their commitment to the values of the Constitution. As part of the Constitution Day celebrations, CCL organised a programme on general laws on November 22 and November 23. The aim of the programme was to impart necessary legal knowledge to the employees. Various eminent advocates and CCL officials conducted sessions in which they highlighted important legal aspects that every employee must know. The programme was significant in promoting legal literacy and making employees aware of laws useful in their personal and professional lives. The Legal Department and other departments played a vital role in organizing this event, which reflects the Companys commitment towards an aware and educated workforce. CCL is committed to uphold the values of the Constitution and empower its employees through knowledge and awareness.
