Champai Soren hails womens hockey team for trophy

Champai Soren has congratulated the Indian womens hockey team for winning the Asian Champions Trophy under the leadership of Jharkhands daughter Salima Tete. Indian Womens Hockey Team vs China Womens Hockey Team A great match was played in the final of the Womens Asian Champions Trophy 2024. The Indian womens hockey team won the Bihar Womens Asian Champions Trophy Rajgir 2024 title with a 1-0 win over China in the final at the Rajgir Hockey Stadium on Wednesday. There was a fierce competition between the two teams in the first half of the game, but in the second half India dominated and Deepikas goal helped India defend the Asian Champions Trophy title. Hockey India has announced a reward of Rs 3 lakh for all the players and Rs 1.5 lakh for all the support staff after the Indian womens hockey teams spectacular victory at the Bihar Womens Asian Champions Trophy Rajgir 2024. Making the occasion even more special, the Asian Hockey Federation has announced rewards for podium finishers for the first time in the history of the competition. India will receive US $ 10,000, while China and Japan will be given US $ 7,000 and US $ 5,000 respectively. The team was captained by Salima Tete. The Bihar Womens Asian Champions Trophy 2024 concluded on a triumphant note for the hosts in the historic city of Rajgir, with India claiming the gold medal in a nail-biting final against China. The tournament was a resounding success, drawing immense support from fans and setting a new benchmark for womens hockey in the region. In a fiercely contested final, India edged out China 1-0 in a thrilling match. The home team demonstrated exceptional skill and determination, with Deepika leading the charge.  China took home the silver medal after showcasing impressive teamwork and resilience throughout the tournament. Japan claimed the bronze medal after defeating Malaysia 4-1 in a commanding display of skill and teamwork during the third-place match. For the first time in the tournaments history, the Asian Hockey Federation introduced prize money for the top three teams, marking a significant milestone in promoting womens hockey. The Womens Asian Champions Trophy Hockey at the Rajgir International Stadium, situated amidst the ambitious Rajgir Sports Complex and the Bihar Sports University campus, has created quite the stir in this small town in Indias hinterland.
