Hatia has highest voters, Ranchi has all booths in urban area

Voting for the first phase of Jharkhand assembly elections is to be held on November 13. All the candidates have been given election symbols. The election campaign of all has also gained momentum. 27 candidates are contesting for the election in Hatia assembly. Hatia assembly has the highest number of voters at 524460. In which 261359 are male and 263077 are female voters. Voters have increased by 17.46% compared to 2019. Out of these, 17329 voters will exercise their franchise for the first time. There are 496 polling stations in Hatia assembly, out of which 334 are in urban and 162 in rural areas. In the 2019 assembly elections, BJPs Naveen Jaiswal won. He defeated the nearest rival Congress candidate Ajay Nath Shahdev by a margin of 16264 votes. Elections are to be held in Ranchi assembly in the first phase of Jharkhand assembly elections. 18 candidates are contesting in the voting to be held on November 13. There are 378055 voters in Ranchi Assembly. Out of which 191524 are male and 186500 are female voters. Voters have increased by 9.02% compared to 2019. Out of these, 10003 voters will exercise their franchise for the first time. There are 374 polling stations in Ranchi Assembly, out of which all polling stations are in urban areas. In the 2019 assembly elections, BJPs CP Singh had won. He defeated the nearest rival JMM candidate Mahua Maji by a margin of 5904 votes. Out of 682 candidates trying their luck in the first phase of Jharkhand assembly elections, 174 candidates have criminal cases registered against them. At the same time, serious criminal cases are registered against 127 candidates. This has been revealed in the ADR report. According to the report, 20 out of 36 candidates of BJP, 11 out of 17 candidates of Congress, 11 out of 23 candidates of JMM, 8 out of 29 candidates of BSP, 3 out of 5 candidates of RJD and 2 out of 2 candidates of JDU have criminal cases registered against them. 15 out of 36 candidates of BJP, 8 out of 17 candidates of Congress, 7 out of 23 candidates of JMM, 6 out of 29 candidates of BSP, 3 out of 5 candidates of RJD and 2 out of 2 candidates of JDU have serious criminal cases registered against them. Four candidates contesting in the first phase have murder cases registered against them. Cases related to attempt to murder are registered against 40 candidates. Cases related to atrocities on women are registered against 11 candidates. Out of 682 candidates contesting in the first phase, 63 candidates have assets worth more than Rs. 5 crore. 78 candidates have assets worth between Rs. 2 crore and Rs. 5 crore. There are 198 candidates with assets between 50 lakhs to 2 crores, 199 candidates with assets between 10 lakhs to 50 lakhs and 144 candidates with assets less than 10 lakhs. Thus, the average assets of the candidates trying their luck in the first phase is 2.16 crores. Among the candidates trying their luck in the first phase, there are two illiterate, 18 literate, six 5th pass, 52 8th pass, 102 10th pass, 148 12th pass, 182 graduates, 57 graduate professionals, 93 PG holders, 16 PhD holders and six diploma holders.
