Ahead of the upcoming elections, District Election Officer Ananya Mittal and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kishore Kaushal visited the vulnerable areas of Uliidih and Pardih in Mango to encourage voter participation in a secure and transparent environment. They interacted with residents, urging them to vote without any fear, pressure, or undue influence, reinforcing the district administrations commitment to a fair electoral process. During the visit, Mittal and Kaushal met with voters at polling booths located at Adivasi Jan Kalyan High School, Ulidih, and Madhya Vidyalaya, Pardih. Emphasizing the significance of each vote, Mittal stated, This is a festival of democracy; every vote counts towards strengthening it. Come forward with enthusiasm, along with your family and neighbors, and vote without falling prey to any form of pressure or temptation. Mittal encouraged a full turnout, calling for a 100% voter participation rate in the upcoming elections. The SSP assured voters that robust security measures will be in place at all polling stations, especially in sensitive areas. He encouraged residents to report any threats or inducements to local police, including the station in-charge or Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), with the assurance that immediate action would be taken against offenders. Adequate security forces will be deployed to ensure a fear-free environment, he affirmed. Mittal informed that voting will take place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on November 13, with all arrangements in place for a smooth process. To ensure no eligible voter is left out, Mittal and the local Booth Level Officers (BLOs) verified voter lists and checked that voter slips were being distributed door-to-door. Voters who have not received their slips were instructed to call the 1950 helpline or reach out directly to their BLO. Voters without a voter ID card can still participate using one of 12 approved identification alternatives, including a drivers license, passport, government-issued ID cards, photo passbooks, PAN card, MNREGA job card, health insurance smart card, and Aadhaar card. District Transport Officer Dhananjay, District Public Relations Officer Panchanan Oraon, DSPs Bhola Prasad Singh and Vachandev Kujur, and local police officials were also present during the visit, offering additional reassurances to residents in Mangos sensitive areas, fostering confidence for a peaceful and participative election day.
