States well-known plastic surgeon and director/administrator of Devkamal Hospital and Devnika Hospital, Dr. Anant Sinha has wished all the people of the state a Happy Deepawali. In his message, he has appealed to take special care while bursting crackers while wishing peace, happiness and prosperity for the people of Jharkhand on the occasion of Deepawali festival. Dr. Sinha has said that on the occasion of Deepawali, people are careless while bursting crackers, due to which there is a possibility of an accident. He said to take special care while bursting crackers like Anaar, Fuljhadi, Chakri, Rocket, Aalubam etc. Keep a bucket of water near the place where crackers are burst. He said that 90% of accidents on the occasion of Deepawali are caused by Anaar (firecrackers), because most of the people burst Anaar (firecrackers) by holding it in hand. If due to carelessness, the hand or any other part of the body gets burnt while bursting firecracker, then keep the affected part immersed in water for about ten minutes. After that, immediately consult a specialist doctor. Do not apply any kind of ointment or paste on the burnt part without consulting a doctor. He informed that the services of specialist doctors are available 24 hours in the ultra-modern burn unit equipped with special facilities in Devkamal Hospital, Bajra (Itki Road), Ranchi and Devnika Hospital, Tupudana (Hatia).
