BJP women candidates set to carry political legacies in Assembly election

Seven women candidates of BJP will carry forward the political legacy of their father, husband and father-in-law. The ticket has been confirmed. Now they will put their strength in the field. These women candidates include Meera Munda, Geeta Koda, Sita Soren, Ragini Singh, Tara Devi, Purnima Das and Manju Devi. Purnima Das has got the ticket from Jamshedpur East. Purnima is the daughter-in-law of former CM and Odisha Governor Raghubar Das. Raghubar Das has won the election from this seat many times. He was defeated only in the 2019 elections by Saryu Rai. Purnima has been given the responsibility of hoisting the flag on this seat again. BJP has cut the ticket of MLA Maneka Sardar, who won three times from Potka assembly seat, and made Meera Munda the candidate. Meera Munda is the wife of former CM Arjun Munda. She has been active in social work for almost three decades. She also has the responsibility of handling her husbands political legacy. Meera has been a member of BJP since 1999. BJP has bet on Manju Devi from Jamua. Manju is the daughter of former MLA Sukar Ravidas. In the 2019 elections, she contested on a Congress ticket, but did not win. Recently, she joined BJP along with her father. BJP expressed confidence in Manju and confirmed the ticket. BJP has fielded Sita Soren from Jamtara. Earlier, Sita Soren has contested the Lok Sabha elections from Dumka. Earlier, she has also been an MLA from Jama on a JMM ticket. She is also the elder daughter-in-law of JMM supremo Shibu Soren. Accordingly, the responsibility of handling the political legacy is also on her. Tara Devi has the responsibility of saving her husbands legacy. Tara Devi has been given a ticket by BJP from Sindri. Tara Devi is the wife of Indrajit Mahato. MLA Indrajit Mahato has been ill for a long time. Tara Devi has also been a Zilla Parishad member. BJP has given ticket to Ragini Singh from Jharia. Ragini is the wife of former MLA Sanjeev Singh. Sanjeev Singh has been an MLA from Jharia. He is currently in jail. For this reason, Ragini Singh has been raising the flag of BJP since her husband went to jail. The responsibility of protecting her husbands political legacy is now on Ragini Singh. On Saturday, the BJPs Central Election Committee has released a list of its 66 candidates in view of the Jharkhand Assembly elections. A total of 12 women candidates have been given tickets in this list, out of which 5 seats are reserved for Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST). These women candidates include many prominent names belonging to political families. The list of 12 women candidates of BJP is as follows Sita Soren (Jamtara) - sister-in-law of Chief Minister Hemant Soren. Dr. Neera Yadav (Koderma) - current MLA and former minister. Dr. Manju Devi (Jamua - SC) - came to BJP from Congress and will contest for the first time on a BJP ticket. Tara Devi (Sindri) - wife of current MLA Indrajit Mahato. Aparna Sen Gupta (Nirsa) - current MLA. Ragini Singh (Jharia) - wife of former MLA Sanjeev Singh. Meera Munda (Potka - ST) - wife of former Chief Minister Arjun Munda. Purnima Das Sahu (Jamshedpur East) - daughter-in-law of former Chief Minister Raghubar Das. Geeta Balmuchu (Chaibasa - ST) - First time candidate this time. Gita Koda (Jagannathpur - ST) - Wife of former Chief Minister Madhu Koda. Pushpa Devi Bhuiyan (Chhatarpur - SC) - Wife of sitting MLA and former MP Manoj Kumar. Munia Devi (Gande) - Will contest assembly elections for the first time, and is a former Zila Parishad president.
