Art 81 Festival organised in City to create voter awareness

With the aim of making voters aware for the upcoming Jharkhand Assembly Election 2024, a two- day art festival Art- 81 is being organised on October 18 and October 19 at the Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium, Ranchi. Chief Electoral Officer K. Ravi Kumar, Joint Chief Electoral Officer Subodh Kumar, District Electoral Officer cum Deputy Commissioner Varun Ranjan inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp. As many as 81 artists from different places of the country Uttar Pradesh, Odisha are exhibiting their art in the festival while famous artists, youth and students of Jharkhand are also included. On the occasion, Chief Electoral Officer K. Ravi Kumar said that the objective of 81 Art Festival is to connect all the voters through art lovers and a message is also to be given to our young voters through art. For a healthy and strong democracy, it is necessary that maximum number of people exercise their franchise. With time the voting percentage in Jharkhand has increased and we will definitely achieve our goal, said the Chief Electoral Officer. Encouraging the artists who came from different states, Kumar also said that the best slogans and art will be used in the election awareness campaign and also appealed to the people to come and participate in this program with their families. Divisional Commissioner, Ranchi Anjani Kumar Mishra said that the main objective of the programme is to increase the voting percentage in Jharkhand. In this direction, this programme will work to make young voters aware of voting through their art. District Election Officer cum Deputy Commissioner Varun Ranjan said, It is our endeavor that our voters understand through art and know the utility of their voting. As many youth as possible should ensure their participation in the upcoming assembly elections. Assistant Chief Electoral Officer Devdas Dutta administered the oath to all the artists involved in the programme regarding voting and Joint Chief Electoral Officer Subodh Kumar outlined the objectives of the programme. Deputy Development Commissioner Dinesh Kumar Yadav, Assistant Election Officer Devdas Dutta, Deputy Director, Public Relations Anand and other officers were also present.
