CEO holds meeting with nodal officers of postal ballot of all districts

Chief Electoral Officer K. Ravi Kumar has said that in the assembly elections, it has to be ensured that all the employees associated with essential services and the employees engaged in election work vote through postal ballot. For this, coordinate with the officers of all essential services and get the list. He was holding a review meeting with the nodal officers of postal ballot of all the districts through video conferencing from the Election House on Thursday. Kumar said that in the assembly elections, form 12D should be made available to the voters above 85 years of age or handicapped voters who are unable to go to the polling booth for voting from home. He said that along with the announcement of elections, there is a guideline by the Election Commission of India to allocate the postal ballot forms to the concerned voters. Comply with this and ensure its availability to all concerned in time. Additional Chief Electoral Officer Dr. Neha Arora strictly instructed the nodal officers of postal ballot of all the districts to complete all the formalities related to postal ballot by late evening today on Thursday and report. She said that special care should be taken that no voter who is eligible to vote by postal ballot should be deprived of exercising his/her right to vote. On this occasion, OSD of Chief Electoral Officer Office, Geeta Chaubey and all the officers of the Postal Ballot Division were present.
