Marandi demands arrest of Rohits killers

BJP State President and former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi today met the family of late Rohit Tirkey at his home in Lohrakocha Basti under Lalpur Police Station in Ranchi and expressed condolences  over the death of Tirkey. Tirkey, injured in a fight while visiting the fair died late Saturday night. He was originally a resident of Lohrakocha of Lalpur police station area. After the death of Rohit, angry people blocked Lalpur Chowk on Sunday morning. The angry mob is demanding the arrest of the accused involved in the incident. On receiving information about the road jam, the police reached the spot and is trying to remove the jam by persuading the angry people. Due to the jam at Lalpur Chowk, a long queue of vehicles has formed. People are facing a lot of trouble in commuting. It is being told about the incident that Rohit had left with his friends to visit the fair two days ago. During this time, he was beaten up by some youths near Ratu Road Chowk. Rohit was seriously injured in this incident. After this, he was admitted to the hospital, where he died late on Saturday night. Speaking to the media, Marandi said that criminals are out of control in the state. They are not afraid of killing anyone. He said that only the one in whose house such an incident takes place knows the pain of losing a young son. He said that even after three days of the incident, the police have not been able to identify the criminal. Whereas this is possible with CCTV. Therefore, the police should immediately search the CCTV footage of the murder site and search with promptness and expose the murderer. He said that the police can identify the criminal by interrogating the people around. By catching the criminal immediately, an atmosphere of fear is created and recurrence of the incident is prevented. He said that nowadays drug addiction has increased in the entire state including the capital Ranchi. In which a large number of minor children are also becoming victims. The young generation is getting ruined. He said that in such a situation, the police should increase investigation in civil dress around educational institutions, coaching institutes. If needed, the government should also form a special task force for this. He said that the administration should immediately arrest the murderer. Also, the state government should give proper compensation as per the demand of the family.
