Under the "Swachhata Hi Seva" campaign, a tree plantation program was organized near the Ispat Bhawan and Cricket Stadium in Bokaro on September 24. The event was part of the "Clean Bokaro, Green Bokaro" initiative, aimed at enhancing greenery and biodiversity. Executive Director (Projects & Additional Charge of Materials Management) C.R. Mahapatra, along with Executive Director (Mines) Jaydeep Dasgupta, led the plantation activity at the Steel Building premises. Following their lead, Chief General Manager (Human Resources)  Harimohan Jha and other senior officials and staff from the HR division also participated in the campaign.   Similarly, another tree plantation drive was conducted near the Bokaro Steel City Cricket Stadium under the guidance of Chief General Manager (Town Services) Kundan Kumar and Chief General Manager (CED)  Shaligram Singh.   In addition to the plantation drive, the Public Health Department of BSL Township launched a comprehensive campaign to protect the city from dengue. Regular fogging and anti-larvae treatments are being conducted across different sectors, markets, and town areas to prevent mosquito breeding. Efforts to raise public awareness about dengue prevention are also being undertaken.   Citizens are being advised to avoid water stagnation around their homes, as it can lead to the breeding of dengue and malaria mosquitoes. The public is encouraged to dispose of old tires, containers, and other items where water can collect, and to regularly clean and cover water containers, tanks, coolers, and flower pots to prevent mosquito breeding. ………
