In a big push to infrastructure spending, the State government on Friday approved construction of State highways and major road projects in the State. The Government approved  36 projects with a major focus on roads. Revised administrative approval of Rs. 47,33,90,000/- (Rupees forty seven crore thirty three lakh ninety thousand) only was given for "Strengthening, Widening and Reconstruction work (including cycle track and footpath) of Birsa Chowk to Dhurwa Roundabout (length-2.6 Km) in four lanes and Riding Quality improvement work of Dhurwa Roundabout to Project Building (length-1.5 Km) (Total length-4.10 Km)", under Road Division, Ranchi. Administrative approval of Rs. 31,69,90,700/- (thirty one crore seventy nine lakh ninety thousand seven hundred) was given for the work of improvement of riding quality of Hatgamharia - Benisagar Bhaya Balandiya, Manjhgaon Path (total length-44.485 km) under Path Division, Chaibasa. Under the Central Road and Infrastructure Fund, Rs. 92,03,08,600 /- (ninety two crore three lakh eight thousand six hundred) was given for the reconstruction of Bhajania of Mohamadganj to Haidernager via Kolhua, Bardiha, Pansa, Adhori and Ranideva Road (total length-17.372 km) approved by the Government of India. Administrative approval on the amount and the amount involved in it, Rs. 23,36,47,910/- (twenty three crore thirty six lakh forty seven thousand nine hundred ten) was approved to be borne as the state share. Revised administrative approval of Rs. 241,63,37,200/- (Rupees two hundred forty one crore sixty three lakh thirty seven thousand two hundred) only was given for "Construction of high level bridge (including land acquisition) on Mayurakshi river near Kumarabad on Murabahal (on Dumka Airport-Chaklata road) Makrampur (on Sitapahari Mor-Singri-Harko road) road" through Jharkhand State Highway Authority. Revised administrative approval of Rs. 97,05,75,800/- (Rupees ninety seven crore five lakh seventy five thousand eight hundred) only was given for "Widening and strengthening/reconstruction work (including land acquisition, utility shifting and resettlement & rehabilitation) in four lanes of Dumka bypass [from Phulo-Jhano Chowk, Dumka to Dumka-Rampur road (NH-114)) (total length- 7.315 km)." Administrative approval of Rs. 39,51,39,000/- (Forty Nine Crore Fifty One Lakh Forty Nine Thousand Rupees) was granted for the construction work of Degree College at Saraiyahat in Dumka district under Sido Kanhu Murmu University, Dumka. Administrative approval was given for the scheme of Rs. 45,91,57,000/- (Forty Five Crore Ninety One Lakh Fifty Seven Thousand) only related to construction and renovation work of new building at Government Polytechnic, Khutri, Bokaro in order to develop it as a State of the Art institution. Administrative approval of Rs. 39,51,39,000/- (Forty Nine Crore Fifty One Lakh Forty Nine Thousand Rupees) was granted for the construction work of Degree College at Saraiyahat in Dumka district under Sido Kanhu Murmu University, Dumka. Administrative approval of Rs. 67,12,85,400/- (sixty seven crore twelve lakh eighty five thousand four hundred rupees) was given for the construction of new building of R.S.P. College, Jharia under Binod Bihari Mahto Koyalanchal University, Dhanbad.
