Jharkhand Police and SBI ink MoU for police salary package

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed today between Jharkhand Police and State Bank of India (SBI) for a police salary package in the presence of DGP, Jharkhand Anurag Gupta in the auditorium located at Police Headquarters, Jharkhand, Ranchi. Md Naushad Alam, DIG, Budget, Jharkhand, on behalf of DGP, Jharkhand and DGM, Zonal Office, Ranchi, Devesh Mittal on behalf of SBI signed and handed over the MoU documents to each other. It is noteworthy that on August 21, on the initiative of the Director General of Police, Jharkhand, an MoU was signed between Jharkhand Police and SBI for a police salary package, under which many facilities were made available to police personnel from the police salary package. However, a new MoU was signed in the interest of police officers and policemen by reviewing the facilities provided by the earlier MoU between Jharkhand Police and SBI in the auditorium located at Police Headquarters. Among the facilities to be provided to police personnel in this MoU with State Bank of India, there is provision of Rs 1 crore in personal accident death insurance, Rs 1 crore on permanent total disability, up to Rs 80 lakhs on permanent partial disability, Rs 1 crore 60 lakh on aircraft accident, additional provision of Rs 10 lakh has been made for the dependents of martyrs in Naxal violence, ambush attacks by militants and criminals, along with the facility of loan waiver up to Rs 10 lakhs. For the first time, there is a provision between Jharkhand Police and SBI to give Rs 10 lakhs on normal death, Rs 10 lakh insurance amount for higher education of dependent children in case of death in personal accident and maximum insurance amount of Rs 10 lakh for marriage of unmarried girls. In this MoU, a voluntary Medical Super Top-up facility has been provided in which Rs 30 lakhs for only Rs. 2495 and another optional facility of Rs 15 lakhs for Rs. 1995 has been provided for four members of the family. Under the provisions of this MoU, Rupay Platinum Card will be provided to all police personnel by SBI, under which additional insurance cover of Rs 10 lakhs will be available in case of death in an accident etc. All these special insurance facilities will be provided free of cost to the account holder under Police Salary Package by SBI. Along with this, provision has been made for free account, cheque book, ATM card for four members of the family of police personnel and insurance of Rs 5 lakhs each for those four adult members, totaling Rs 20 lakhs. On this occasion, from Jharkhand Police, ADG (Headquarters), Suman Gupta, ADG (Modernization and Training), Priya Dubey, IG (Headquarters), Amol Vinukant Homkar, IG (Operations), Prabhat Kumar, IG (Va. Shaan), Asim Vikrant Minj, IG (AD), Annepu Vijaya Lakshmi, IG (Training), Indrajit Mahatha, DIG (STF), Naushad Alam, DIG (Personnel), Karthik S, DIG (Special Branch), Alok Priyadarshi, SP (Va. Shaan), Moomal Rijpurohit, SP (Va. Shaan) and from SBI, Bangaraju Venkata Kunapparaju, CGM, Prabhas Bose, GM, Jharkhand Zonal Office, Ranchi, Vikas Kumar Pandey, Chief Manager, Zonal Office, Ranchi were present.
