Prez to grace centenary year celebration of ICAR- NISA today

President Droupadi Murmu reached Ranchi in the evening today. Governor Santosh Gangwar and Chief Minister Hemant Soren welcomed the President at Birsa Munda International Airport. From the Airport President Murmu went to Raj Bhawan where she will have a night stay. The entire area from Birsa Munda International Airport to Raj Bhawan was declared a no flying zone with cops standing on both sides of 11 km Birsa Rajpath.   On Friday morning, President Murmu will attend the centenary year celebration of Ranchi-based ICAR- National Institute of Secondary Agriculture (NISA). ICAR- NISA, formerly the Indian Institute of Natural Resins and Gums, located at Namkum, Ranchi, in the Jharkhand state, is a unit of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). Prior to this, the Institute was known as Indian Lac Research Institute. It was established on September 20, 1924, and thus, one of the oldest institutions within the ICAR system, having completed the journey of 100 years of fruitful services to the Nation.  On September 20, President Murmu will participate in the ICAR- NISA programme. She is also scheduled to plant a sapling to kick start the plantation campaign under the banner of Ek Podha Maa Ke Nam(Plant a tree in the name of Mother).  On the same day, President Murmu will be chief guest at the ICAR- NISAs Foundation function.Among VVIPs to attend this event is Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Meanwhile, the district administration has made elaborate security arrangements for the President visit. No fly zone has been declared from Ranchi Airport to Raj Bhavan. She is on a two-day visit to Jharkhand. For the Presidents visit the entire area from Ranchi Airport to Raj Bhavan and from Raj Bhavan to Namkum program venue has been converted into a police cantonment. The route through which the Presidents convoy will pass will have three layers of security. Apart from 6 IPS, 10 DSPs, 25 inspectors, 20 sub-inspectors, more than two thousand additional soldiers have been deployed for the Presidents security. Bomb disposal squad, JAP, IRB, RAF and Jaguar teams will be deployed for security. Illegal parking will be prohibited around the venue. Only people with passes will be allowed to enter the venue. SSP Chandan Sinha has instructed all the officers and personnel deployed for the security of the President to remain alert. The SSP has instructed the police station in-charges to conduct continuous anti-crime checking campaigns. Especially in the areas where the Presidents program is scheduled, the police station in-charge should also patrol those places regularly. Check hotels and lodges. The SSP said that there should be no lapse in security under any circumstances. If anyone is negligent during duty, then direct action will be taken against such policemen, he said. The tall buildings located on the routes through which the Presidents convoy will pass have been identified. Police force will be deployed in tall buildings before the Presidents arrival. Along with this, the police team has also verified about the people living in the building. Complete information including everyones name and address has been obtained. The police are constantly keeping an eye on those buildings.
