Hindi Fortnight and Hindi Day-2024 inaugurated at NTPC CMHQ

Chief Executive Officer and Regional Executive Director (Coal Mining) Animesh Jain inaugurated Hindi Fortnight, at NTPC Coal Mining Headquarters in Ranchi on September 16. During the inauguration, the Regional Executive Director emphasized the use of Hindi in day-to-day office work, as this marks the 75th anniversary of the Hindi Diwas Celebration which makes it very special for us. Article 343 of the Indian Constitution designates Hindi as the Official Language of India, with its script being in Devnagari. NTPC Coal Mining Headquarters will be observing Hindi Fortnight from 14th September to 28th September 2024. Jain shared that today we are using Hindi in computers, whereas it was previously conducted in English. In the era of Information Technology, we can utilize Hindi through various tools for accomplishing different departmental tasks. He also encouraged the use of Hindi across various mobile applications, email, WhatsApp, and social media alongside NTPC Paperless  initiative "Pradeep" and Samvaad mobile app. Jain encouraged the employees to consistently use Hindi in their daily work and to take pride in it. Throughout the programme, all the Heads of Departments and executives participated with great enthusiasm. Various competitions will be organised for promotion of Hindi language during the Hindi Fortnight Celebration. On this occasion Hindi Handwriting competition was conducted with good participation. A programme schedule for the next 15 days has also been prepared to ensure the success of this celebration.
