Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), on Friday, said that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has no issue related to public interest so they are talking about communal demography.   Addressing a press meet, JMM General Secretary cum Spokesperson Supriyo Bhattacharya said that the affidavit submitted by the Central Government in the High Court (HC) in the infiltration case. He said that a case is going on in the HC regarding infiltration in our State. We also read that affidavit. The affidavit was filed yesterday and then its hearing will be held on next Tuesday but before that, a political statement came from the BJP that the demography has changed. There are Bangladeshi infiltrators in Santhal, he added.   Bhattacharya said that there is no mention from the Government of India or the Aadhar authority that some people from Bangladesh have come and are living in the area of Santhal Pargana. In the affidavit, the 2011 census was made the basis. In that, 1961 was considered as the baseline and the 2011 census was given. That means a period of 50 years, he added.   Referring to the affidavit, the Party General Secretary said that it was also mentioned in it that at that time the percentage of tribals was this much and that of Muslims was this much and that of Christians was this much and now it has remained this much. The numbers are not mentioned anywhere in it. An affidavit was filed in the court regarding these six districts. This demographic change has happened in the whole of India in these 50 years, he added.   What kind of game is this going on? And why is the court being brought into this? If something is going on in the court, then why is it being criticized in the party offices? The office of a political party is not a court. If a political party has to intervene in any court action, then they will have to become an intervener. Is BJP an intervener in this case that this is happening in their office? asked Bhattacharya.   The Party General Secretary said that an affidavit has been submitted in the court. The court has to decide whether it will be heard or not. There will be a debate on it. Things will come to light. There will be an investigation. The court will give its verdict. Those who are not aware of them can go to the higher court. But here it seems as if there has been parachute dropping of Muslims and Christians, he added.   If you write Adivasi, then please tell whether it is Sarna or non-Sarna. Since ancient times, Santhal Pargana, especially Bhattacharya said that Sahibganj, Rajmahal, Pakur, these areas are Bengali speaking areas. Religion is not divided by language. Their MP talks about dividing Santhal Pargana. We understand this game. This is a very dangerous game. In this way, divisiveness has been increased in the State. This is a political issue, bring it to the fore. I request the High Court to take suo motu cognizance of this. The conditions of the court should not be written in party offices, he added.
