Over 20 Everest Summiteers to gather in city for Everest Summit 2.0 - Beyond the Mountains on Aug 18

Ranchi is all set to welcome over 20 distinguished mountaineers at the "Everest Summit 2.0 – Beyond the Mountains," organised by the Ideate Inspire Ignite Foundation in collaboration with CCL and CyberPeace Corps. This inspiring event will take place on Sunday, August 18, 2024, at the JAP 1 Auditorium (Shaurya Sabhagar), Doranda, Ranchi. The summit is designed to inspire and energize attendees by sharing the incredible stories of adventurers who have conquered some of the worlds most challenging peaks. The event symbolizes Ideate Inspire Ignite Foundations aim to empower people with resilience, and serves as a platform to promote such activities within the state of Jharkhand. It also aims to showcase CyberPeaces commitment to equipping individuals with the knowledge and tools needed to navigate the digital landscape securely. CCL is also taking care of promotion of sports and adventure sports through various activities in our State. A highlight of the event will be the participation of Malavath Poorna, who became the youngest female to climb Mount Everest at just 13 years and 11 months old. Poorna also scaled Mount Elbrus, the highest peak in Europe, on July 27, 2017. Joining her will be Kaamya Karthikeyan, who, at 16 years old, became Indias 2nd youngest and the worlds second youngest to scale Mount Everest on May 20, 2024. The event will take place on 18th August at JAP 1 Auditorium (Shaurya Sabhagar), Doranda, Ranchi between 10 am and 6 pm. Adding to the events prestige, the keynote speaker, Tenzing Jamling, the son of Tenzing Norgay from Darjeeling, who has also summited Mount Everest twice, will attend the event. Alongside these iconic mountaineers, several other distinguished adventurers will share their experiences such as Premlata Agarwal, Sharad Kulkarni, Sunil Nataraj, Dr. Murad E. Lala, Hemant Gupta, Satyarup Siddhanta, Cdr S. Karthikeyan, Kaamya Karthikeyan, Anand Kumar, Manisha Waghmare, Squadron Leader (Dr.) Toolika Rani, Dr. Usha Hegde, Jyoti Ratre, Rama Thakur, Sangeeta S. Bahl         , Prakriti Varshney, Debraj Dutta and Meenu Kaliraman. Rajeev Gupta, Founder of the Ideate Inspire Ignite Foundation said, "The summit aims to inspire the younger generation and the local community by showcasing the limitless potential of the human body and mind. Through the stories of these mountaineers, we hope to uplift and motivate all who attend." Other members from the I3 foundation team were also affirmed that the city will witness the vibration of the event. The Everest Summit 2.0 is being organised in collaboration with CCL, CyberPeace Corps, Adani Power, Swachhata Pukare Foundation & Pratigya Foundation.   In conjunction with the summit, a Cyclothon will take place on August 17, 2024. Participants will cover a distance of up to 21 km, starting from JAP 1 Auditorium, heading to Dhurwa Dam, and returning. This transformative event celebrates the unwavering power of human determination and spirit, serving as an inspiration for the local community and beyond.
