Final ID parade held, Health Minister to hoist flag

The final parade rehearsal for the district-level Independence Day celebrations was successfully completed today at Gopal Maidan, Jamshedpur. The main function is set to take place on 15 August 2024, with the flag hoisting ceremony scheduled for 9:05 am.  Banna Gupta,  Minister of Health, Medical Education, Family Welfare, and Food Supply, Public Distribution, and Consumer Affairs, will be the chief guest and will hoist the national flag during the ceremony.   Additional District Magistrate (SOR) Mahendra Kumar and Rural Superintendent of Police Rishabh Garg jointly inspected the final parade rehearsal. ADM (SOR) Kumar also hoisted the flag and, along with the Rural SP, saluted the national flag. Both officials provided various guidelines to ensure the grandeur of the main event and the smooth conduct of the parade. The parade contingent included JAP 6, the District Police Force (Men and Women), Home Guard, NCC (Boys and Girls), Scouts and Guides (Boys and Girls), and the St Marys Band Team.   District Magistrate cum Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal has instructed all Block Development Officers to ensure that flag hoisting ceremonies are conducted at all block offices and Panchayat Secretariat levels on Independence Day, with active participation from local Panchayat representatives.   Additionally, a cultural program featuring patriotic songs and dances has been organized on the evening of 14 August at the Town Hall in Sidgora. Students from various government and private schools will participate, performing group dances, songs, and poetry recitations. On 15 August, a friendly football match between the district administration and the media is scheduled to take place at the Tinplate Ground at 3:00 pm.   Flag hoisting ceremonies will also be conducted at various locations throughout the district on Independence Day. The schedule includes an 8:00 am ceremony at the residential office of the District Magistrate cum Deputy Commissioner, followed by the main event at Gopal Maidan at 9:05 am. Additional ceremonies will be held at the Collectorate, the Senior Superintendent of Police office, the subdivision office in Dhalbhum, the Police Center in Golmuri, and the Red Cross Society throughout the morning.
