BJP attacks JMM Govt on womens security

State BJP spokesperson Pratul Shahdev today termed the announcement of giving Rs 1000 of the first installment of the Maiyan Samman Yojana to some women on the day of Rakshabandhan as a drama by Chief Minister Hemant Soren. Pratul said that in fact, on the day of Rakshabandhan, Hemant Soren is doing this drama to protect his government. He said that the Chief Minister should clarify that his government had promised to give Rs 8000 per month to poor women in its manifesto, what happened to that? There is a clear mention of giving Rs 2000 per month for cooking expenses and Rs 6000 to poor families in the manifesto. Pratul said that now in view of the elections, preparations are being made to give a mere Rs 1000 per month toy. Pratul said that during the tenure of this government of almost 5 years, about 7000 rape incidents took place. A daughter of a primitive tribe was cut into 50 pieces and in Dumka a daughter was burnt alive by pouring petrol on her. In Barhet, a minor tribal girl was raped and then hanged to death. Hundreds of gang rape incidents took place. Why was the government insensitive to all these heinous rape cases? The government should issue a white paper and tell how many cases they punished the rapists through fast track courts and in how many cases even the chargesheet has not been filed yet. He said that the government will never issue this white paper because it will expose the government. Pratul said that the delivery mechanism of the Hemant government is very poor anyway. The government had started a petrol subsidy of ₹ 25 per liter for the poor on 26 January 2022 with great pomp and show. This scheme has now almost stopped. In Abua Awas, only the first installment has been released in the financial year 2023-24. No installment has been released for the financial year 2024-25. Not a single Abua Awas has been completed in the entire state till date. In the Maiya Samman Yojana, the Finance Minister is clearly saying that only Rs 1000 crore has been provided from the contingency fund in this financial year, whereas in a month 50 lakh women will be paid Rs 500 crore in this scheme. Pratul wanted to know whether the government is accepting that this is just a two-month gimmick and after that this scheme will be stopped. Pratul said that in this government, loot, extortion, corruption, nepotism were at such a peak that the public has come to know them well. This government is sure to be wiped out in the upcoming elections.
