TSF organises Assistive Devices Distribution Camp

A two-day camp on Assistive Device Distribution was  organised by the Tata Steel Foundation on Thursday in  collaborative effort with Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata Samiti, New Delhi under the SABAL Project of Tata Steel Foundation at  programme was held at the Malkera Community Center. Vikash Kumar, Chief, Sijua Group, Jharia Division, Tata Steel, inaugurated the event and praised Tata Steel Foundation for highlighting projects like SABAL, which reach all sections of society, even in remote locations.   A  total of 40 Assistive Devices, including artificial limbs (hands and feet), pairs of crutches, and wheelchairs for both adults and children, were distributed to all the identified persons with disabilities   The Tata Steel Foundation (TSF) operates across 33 panchayats in the Baghmara block, under its flagship project SABAL. From identifying Persons with Disabilities (PwD), helping them access disability certificates, to providing them with needs-based training in various fields, TSF aims to transform and empower persons with disabilities.
