Heavy rain fills Kanke dam to its full capacity

Due to continuous heavy rain in the State Capital, the water level in Kanke dam has increased beyond its capacity. All three gates of the dam have been opened for this. It is worth noting that at present, water has started flowing above the capacity of 28 feet in Kanke dam. All three gates of the dam have been opened. Due to the opening of all three gates, a flood-like situation has arisen in the lower area. People living nearby are facing many difficulties. Due to continuous rain for three days, many places in the entire district including the State Capital Ranchi have been flooded. In some areas, houses have been submerged, while water has entered the houses of some. The Meteorological Department had already issued a red alert regarding this. Houses were flooded in Deepatoli area of Ranchi. NDRF team had to be called to evacuate people from their homes. However, people have heaved a sigh of relief as the rain has stopped on Sunday.  At the same time, there is news of damage due to heavy rain from Garhwa, Giridih, Chatra and Chandil. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has said that there may be relief from rain till August 5, that is tomorrow. After this, there may be heavy rain in 11 districts on August 7. At the same time, a bridge has broken and washed away in Gomia, Bokaro. There is news of a man missing after being washed away in it.
