5 Kanwariyas die due to electric shock in Latehar

In a horrific road accident that took place near Tamtam Tola under Balumath police station area of Latehar district at 3 am on Thursday. Here the vehicle of Kanwariyas returning from Deoghar went out of control and collided with an electric pole. Five Kanwariyas have died in this accident while many are injured. The injured are being treated at Balumath Hospital. The victims of the accident are residents of Makaiyatand and Hempur Chitarpur of Balumath police station area. The incident that the people of Makaiyatand and nearby villages of Balumath police station area had reserved a passenger vehicle and gone to Deoghar Baba Dham. After worshiping, all the people were returning to their homes. Meanwhile, near Tamtam Tola of Balumath police station area, the passenger vehicle collided with an 11000 volt electric pole at 3 am on Thursday. Due to which the electric pole broke and the passenger vehicle came in contact with the 11000 volt wire. Due to coming in contact with the wire, four women and the driver of the passenger vehicle died on the spot due to electric shock. At the same time, many people were also seriously injured. Local people immediately informed the police about the incident. As soon as the police got information about the incident, on the instructions of DSP Ashutosh Satyam, the police team immediately reached the spot and carried out relief work and took the injured to the hospital for treatment. The distance of Makaiyatand from the incident spot is about 8 kilometers. That is, after traveling about 300 kilometers from Deoghar, the Kanwariyas vehicle met with an accident just 8 kilometers before reaching home. In which five Kanwariyas lost their lives. Local villagers told that the incident happened on Thursday morning at around 3 oclock. It is suspected that the driver must have dozed off due to driving the vehicle all night, due to which this accident must have happened. The deceased include Rangili Kumari, Anjali Kumari, Savita Devi, Shanti Devi and driver Dilip Oraon. While Hanesh Yadav, Charku Yadav, Harinandan Yadav, Parmeshwar Yadav, Reena Kumari were injured. Among them, Hanesh Yadav and Charku Yadav were referred to RIMS as their condition was very serious. CM expresses grief over Latehar accident Chief Minister Hemant Soren has expressed grief over the Latehar incident in which five people have died. Expressed condolences to the family members of the victims, the CM has written in a social media post that he is pained by the news of the death of 5 Kanwariyas in the accident in Balumath of Latehar. May God grant peace to the souls of the deceased and give strength to the bereaved family to bear this difficult time of grief. Medical facilities are being provided to the people injured in the accident.
