On the fifth working day of the monsoon session of the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly, the Speaker of the Assembly suspended 18 MLAs of the Bharatiya Janata Party from the House till 2:00 pm on August 2. The MLAs are accused of violating the privilege of the Legislative Assembly. After being suspended from the House, all the suspended MLAs, led by Leader of Opposition Amar Kumar Bauri, raised their voice against the state government outside the Assembly. Leader of Opposition Amar Kumar Bauri said that the Speaker of the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly is trying to suppress the voice of the opposition, which is the voice of the whole of Jharkhand, under the guise of his privilege. The Speaker of the Assembly is working inside the House as a worker of the government for his vote bank and appeasement politics. He is killing democracy in broad daylight and suspended 18 MLAs of the Bharatiya Janata Party from the House without any fault. He said that the public should be told under which rule the Speaker has suspended all 18 MLAs. He said that today there is an undeclared emergency in Jharkhand and the leaders of the government are dancing naked in the state. Today is a black day in the history of Jharkhand when the Speaker of the Assembly, who works as a worker, is taking decisions at the behest of the government. The MLAs of the Bharatiya Janata Party were demanding answers from the government regarding the future of the youth of the state, but since the government does not have any answer, it is suppressing the voice of the opposition through the Speaker of the Assembly. He said that the people of the state and the Bharatiya Janata Party will never allow this to happen. For the future of the youth and their rights, if the MLA has to leave even 10 times, then all the MLAs of the Bharatiya Janata Party are ready to leave. Referring to the year 2014 and the year 2019, he said that when Dinesh Oraon was the Speaker of the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly, a shoe was thrown at him, abuses were hurled at him, but the then Speaker of that time did not suspend any MLA. Till date no Speaker has ever done this, this is the murder of tradition and democracy. Referring to the incident that took place late on Wednesday night, he said that the way all the rules were flouted, the protesting MLA was prevented from going to the toilet, electricity was cut off, he was forcibly taken out of the well. Not only this, he was also forcibly taken out of the opposition lobby. On the issue of stopping Assam Chief Minister and Jharkhand Assembly Elections Sub-in-charge Hemant Biswa Sarma from going to Pakur, he said that this government does not want its secrets to be exposed, is Gopinathpur village of Pakur in some other country, if not, then why is a citizen of India, who is also the Chief Minister himself, not being allowed to go to any place in his own country. Because the government knows that the way they have lathi-charged the tribal youth, the way they have settled Bangladeshi intruders in Jharkhand, Hemant Vishwas Sharma will make all these things public among the people and due to this fear he was not given permission to go to Pakur.
