Dr Ajoy Kumar accuses BJP of spreading communal poison

  • | Monday | 22nd July, 2024

Former MP and senior Congress leader Dr. Ajoy  Kumar issued a press statement on Sunday, targeting the BJP over the recent Uttar Pradesh name plate issue. Dr. Kumar accused the BJP of engaging in "state-sponsored fanaticism" following the state-sponsored terrorism in Manipur and Tripura. He criticized the order for dhabas and restaurant operators in Uttar Pradesh to install name plates, labelling it as a divisive move by those with "Manuvadi" thinking aiming to fracture the country along religious and caste lines. Dr. Kumar argued that the BJP is attempting to resurrect untouchability in a new form, undermining the unity of the nation. He condemned the BJPs divide and rule policy, asserting that it would not succeed in Jharkhand. According to him, the BJP, referred to as the Bharatiya Jahili Party, is trying to incite communal tension among the tribal and minority communities in the state. He described a recent statement by the Home Minister as a shameful attempt to sow discord. The senior Congress leader accused the BJP of lacking a development roadmap for Jharkhand, instead having a detailed plan to destabilize the state through division and hatred. He asserted that the BJPs dream of forming a government in Jharkhand on the basis of such policies would be thwarted by the people. Dr. Kumar dismissed the BJPs attempts to certify its intentions towards Jharkhand, referencing the Vyapam scam and Saradha Chit Fund scam. He questioned the integrity of BJP leaders, suggesting they address corruption charges against a former Chief Minister of the BJP government. He claimed that the BJP is trying to mislead the tribal community, but emphasized that the tribals know who their true well-wishers are. Dr. Kumar challenged the Modi government to explain why the Sarna Dharma Code, a symbol of religious and cultural freedom for tribals, has not been implemented. He expressed confidence that an All India Alliance government would be formed in Jharkhand, asserting that the people are determined to expel the Bharatiya Jhoothi Party from the state. Kumars statement accused the BJP of fostering division and hatred while failing to address key issues for the development of Jharkhand, predicting a strong response from the states electorate against the BJP in the upcoming elections.
