Loyola School celebrates Annual Prize Night

Loyola School Bistupur hosted its annual prize night for the senior section, celebrating the academic and extracurricular achievements of students from classes 6 to 12. The evening commenced with a solemn prayer led by Father Rector, setting a reverent tone for the event.   The school president addressed the students, inspiring them with the words, "Success is the sum of all efforts repeated day in and day out," by Robert Collier. This message resonated throughout the ceremony, highlighting the importance of consistent effort.   Father Jyoti Ranjan and Father S. Pancras presented proficiency awards to the exemplary students of Standard 6. The academic stars of Standard 7 were honored by Father Pius Fernandes, while Father Victor Misquith recognized the achievements of Standard 8 students. Vineeta Fekka, Vice Principal of the Junior Section, awarded the meritorious students of Standard 9.   The choirs soulful rendition of Here I Am to Worship provided a melodic interlude, adding to the ceremonys atmosphere. A highlight of the evening was the special Achievement and Endeavour Award presented by Father Gerald DSouza, celebrating students who demonstrated exceptional dedication.   A poignant moment was the posthumous award presented to Sayan Adhikari, an inspirational student remembered for his lively nature and endurance. His legacy continues to echo in the corridors of Loyola.   Following this, a vibrant dance performance, Tillanna, showcased the cultural talent and rhythmic precision of the students, enthralling the audience.   Father K.M. Joseph, Rector of Loyola School, honored the students who achieved top marks in the ICSE examinations. Vice Principal of the Senior Section, Teacher Jayanthi Sheshadari, extended accolades to the highest scorers of the ISC examinations. The choir then performed an inspiring rendition of Hall of Fame, motivating all present to strive for excellence.   The event concluded with the presentation of sports and special awards by Principal Vinod Fernandes. In his speech, Principal Fernandes enlightened the students on the values of a Loyolean and the pursuit of excellence. He emphasized that ordinary people can achieve extraordinary feats through continuous effort and urged students to constantly raise the bar and strive towards "Magis."   Teacher Jayanthi delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all who contributed to the evenings success. The ceremony concluded with the Loyola School anthem, leaving attendees with a sense of pride and accomplishment.
