NTPC CMHQ organises Nukad Natak to create awareness on Cleanliness

As part of ongoing Swachhta Pakhwada initiative, NTPC Coal Mining HQ/ NML Ranchi on 28.05.2024 organised a Nukad Natak at the premises of Ranchi Railway Station to create awareness on the importance of Cleanliness in our daily life. The nukad natak on "Swachhata" (cleanliness) proved to be a powerful medium to raise awareness about the importance of cleanliness and hygiene practices in society. As the passengers and senior officials of Railways at Railways station took their time to witness the street play. The street play was conducted by members of Jharkhand Educational and Environment Trust(JEET) with the message encouraging the public to take responsibility for their environment and join hands in the ongoing effort to create a cleaner, healthier society through proper disposal of waste in dustbin, avoiding spitting of Gutka in public places, using public urinals to stop open defecation and urination. The performers at the end of the Street play invited the audience to participate in local cleanliness drives and adopt sustainable habits in their daily lives. To encourage waste management like kitchen wastage conducted a workshop in association with Urban Kheti (organisation working on waste management & organic farming).The workshop was conducted for office catering staff i.e Indian Coffee House(ICH) at NTPC Coal Mining HQ in which the participants were educated how to recycle and reuse the kitchen wastage generated on daily basis and to convert into organic manure which can used for the plant potters installed at the office premises thereby contributing to the environment protection and conservation.
