Chief Electoral Officer, Jharkhand, K Ravi Kumar has said that voting for Rajmahal, Dumka and Godda Lok Sabha parliamentary constituency will be held on June 1, 2024 from 7 am to 5 pm. Officials should not be lax in the voting process. The presiding officer should speed up the voting process through the chain system. Make sure voters enter the polling booth in an orderly manner and cast their votes. He said that in rural areas, tagging of vehicles for voters who are far away from the polling station, so that the voters can be brought to the polling stations. At the same time, ensure arrangement of vehicles for disabled and senior voters in urban areas. The Chief Electoral Officer was reviewing the preparations made for the seventh phase of online voting from Nirvachan Sadan on Monday. The Chief Electoral Officer said that to call the voters to the polling stations, micro call centers should also be set up and the voters should also be called by calling. He said that polling stations with more than 1200 voters should ensure the arrangement of generators for lighting facilities, so that there is no inconvenience to voters and polling personnel in case of delay in voting. He also instructed everyone to update real time data. Besides, to speed up the voting process, instructions were given to provide training to the concerned officials and to conduct miking related to voter awareness even during the silence period. He said that every effort should be made to increase the voting percentage. For better voting, he directed officials associated with election work like Block Development Officer, Circle Officer, Sector Officer etc. to contact the voters while in the field and appeal them to vote. Assistant Chief Electoral Officer Dev Das Dutta from Nirvachan Sadan and officials related to election work including District Election Officer, Electoral Registration Officer, Assistant Electoral Registration Officer of the respective constituencies were present in the meeting.
