No new PMAY house approval from Centre, admits Minister

Chhattisgarh Urban Administration Minister Arun Sao on Tuesday admitted in the House that no new approval has been made by the Centre after the BJP came to power in the state. The Minister was replying to a query of former Chief Minister and Congress legislator Bhupesh Baghel. Baghel demanded to know if any new approval has been made by the Center on the proposal of the Chhattisgarh government. The Minister admitted that all the 18 lakh houses approved were of the previous government and this include the houses for the urban poor. No new proposal has been sent as the new proposals could only be sent after the Centre okays the already sent, the Minister said.
