Two women charred to death in Raipur

Two women workers were charred to death after a fire broke out in a mattress manufacturing factory in Raipur on Wednesday. Raipur Senior Superintendent of Police Santosh Singh told the media that the fire enveloped the Shri Guru Nanak Mattress Company. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, said the official. The official said seven women workers were stranded inside the factory, of whom five were rescued. Two women, Yamuna and Rameshwari, residents of Sarora village, died, he said.
