PATNA: RJD has planned to demand caste census across the country during the special session of Parliament which started on Monday.RJD spokesperson Chitranjan Gagan said his party will be pitching for caste census and a proper debate on the ongoing violence in Manipur. "Not only RJD, but our alliance partners also have agreed on the need to conduct caste census across the country. We will strongly demand it," said Gagan, adding the opposition INDIA bloc will also be demanding for a proper debate on the Manipur violence.He said Prime Minister Narendra Modis speech and tone in his inaugural speech of the special session on Monday reflected the impact of INDIA bloc on him and his party. "His attitude was different today. He praised Nehru ji, whom he and his party members keep criticising. What is the real motive behind such a speech will be clear soon, but one thing is for sure that he has understood that his comeback in 2024 is not possible," said Gagan.Another RJD spokesperson Shakti Singh Yadav apprehended that the special session may pave ways for early election. "PM Modi and his party BJP are afraid as fortune-tellers have told them that 2024 will not be good for them. They may try their luck this year itself," he said.Even RJDs Rajya Sabha member Manoj Jha took a jibe at PM Modi saying some astrologers might have said something and the PM called for a special session.However, BJPs OBC Morcha national general secretary Nikhil Anand lashed out at RJD saying they never had faith in the governance or democratic system and that is why they speak against PM Modi. "Why RJD and JD(U) did not say anything on the PM Vishwakarma Yojana. The opposition is resorting to cynicism and promoting negativity in the country. They all will be let down when Modi ji will again take oath in 2024," said Anand, adding, "RJD is busy playing hide and seek with JD(U). RJD is slowly trying to dethrone Nitish and elevate Tejashwi to the CMs post."
