Nashik: Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sushma Andhare has held the BJP responsible for the widening rift between the Marathas and OBC communities in the state.Talking to reporters on Monday, Andhare said that initially the BJP tried to divide people on communal lines, but after that failed, the party is now trying to divert attentionfrom the issues faced by people. There were several attacks on minorities by mobs in the past, but the latter maintained their cool and avoided any kind of confrontation. The BJP has now resorted to widening the rift between the Marathas and the OBC under the garb of reservation to divert attention of the people from the real issues, claimed Andhare.Given the constitutional provision that the party with clear mandate can provide reservations, the BJP has clear mandate at the Centre. The state government should present a request to the Centre for reservation and get it done instead of whipping up the sentiments for their gains, Andhare added.Andhare also attacked district guardian minister Dada Bhuse, saying it was his failure if he had no knowledge about the drug racket. If Bhuse was unaware of the drug factory on Nashik Road, then it was his utter failure, said Andhare. The leader also attacked state home minister Devendra Fadnavis for his failure to take action against officials of Punes Sassoon Hospital after drug dealer Lalit Patil escaped from the hospital.
