In yet another massive explosion in a firecracker factory, two people were killed while three others received critical burn injuries in Gonda. All the injured people were referred to the medical college hospital after initial treatment at the community health centre. The incident took place in Belsar locality under Tarabganj police station on Monday afternoon. As soon as the information of the incident was received, top police officials reached the spot. The forensic team also reached the spot and collected many samples. Last week, a similar blast was reported from Bareilly in which half a dozen people were killed while several others were injured. Reports said the explosion took place in Nakku Manihars house in Belsar market in Tarabganj police station area. According to reports, the house remains locked from outside but a firecracker factory is run illegally in its back portion. Entry to the house is also through the back door. The reports said five people came to the house on Monday to make firecrackers. Four other people were also there along with the owner of the firecracker factory. Suddenly there was an explosion in the factory in the afternoon. The blast was so powerful that the back portion of the house collapsed and the adjacent house also developed cracks. The police reached the spot and rescued the victims and shifted them to the community health centre from where they were referred to the medical college hospital where two of them were pronounced dead. One of the deceased was identified as Akash. Among the injured, the condition of Krish Kumar Ishtiaq remains critical.
