Under the leadership of the Yogi Adityanath government, Ayodhya has undergone a remarkable transformation, attracting an ever-increasing number of tourists, especially since the grand consecration ceremony of the Ram temple. Among the rising tourist hotspots, Suryakund in Darshan Nagar has emerged as a key destination, drawing around 50,000 visitors in September alone. This sacred site has become a focal point for pilgrims and tourists alike, gaining significant attention after the temples inauguration. In addition to Suryakund, Guptar Ghats Gupt Hari Garden has also become a favoured spot, with its serene atmosphere and historical significance appealing to visitors. According to the Ayodhya Development Authority, Gupt Hari Garden is now the third most popular destination in the region, adding to Ayodhyas growing reputation as a premier spiritual tourism hub. With the Uttar Pradesh government opening substantial financial resources for the city, Ramnagari is increasingly shining on the global stage. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath personally monitors Ayodhyas development, reviewing ongoing projects worth crores of rupees on a daily basis. As a result, not only has the Ram mandir project progressed, but other significant local temples, monasteries and tourist spots, including Suryakund and Gupt Hari Garden, have been beautified. Thousands of devotees and tourists visit Ayodhya daily, contributing to the citys newfound vibrancy and status as a major pilgrimage centre. The consecration ceremony of Lord Ram took place on January 22 this year, and since then, an astounding three crore devotees have visited the temple. Beyond the Ram mandir, these visitors are also exploring other temples and tourist spots across Ayodhya, with Suryakund emerging as a prime attraction. Chief Minister Yogi has emphasised that Ayodhya should be transformed into a tourism hub so captivating that every visitor feels compelled to return. In line with this vision, he regularly instructs officials to enhance the citys appeal during his visits to Ayodhya. Suryakund, home to a temple dedicated to the Sun God, has been revitalised under the Yogi governments efforts. The site now features a pond with an impressive fountain show that projects visuals related to the Sun God, while modern lighting and swings enhance the overall experience. This transformed Suryakund is now a unique destination, offering visitors a blend of spiritual and recreational enjoyment. Guptar Ghat, once in a state of neglect, has also been given a new lease on life by the Yogi government. This sacred site, where Lord Ram is believed to have left his earthly body in the Sarayu river, has been beautified with cutting-edge lighting, landscaped gardens, modern swings, and exercise equipment, all part of a large-scale development project. The widening of nearby roads has also been appreciated by tourists and locals alike, making Guptar Ghat another key draw in Ayodhyas growing list of attractions. According to data, thousands of devotees and tourists have been flocking to these sites each month, with September recording particularly high numbers. Ayodhya Development Authority Vice-Chairman Ashwani Kumar stated, Our full effort is to give a grand look to Ayodhya. Under this, development work is being done. Tourists have increased in Suryakund and Gupt Hari Garden.
