BSP to discuss poll strategy today

To draw a roadmap to contest all the ten assembly seats in the coming bypolls in Uttar Pradesh,  Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati has called a big meeting here on Thursday. All senior leaders from divisional level to district level have been called in this meeting of the party. Before entering the Haryana elections, the BSP chief is going to give guidelines to all the leaders after holding discussions with them. At the same time, there can be a review in the meeting regarding the by-elections of the assembly in UP to be held in the coming days. Sources said that guidelines could also be given in this meeting regarding Kanshi Rams Parinirvana Diwas. To retain the status of the party as a national party, BSP is already contesting the on-going assembly elections in three states including Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir. In Haryana, the BSP has formed an alliance with Indian National Lok Dal and Haryana Lokhit Party. The BSP has fielded candidates on 37 seats on its symbol in this election. The BSP chief herself is going to Haryana from September 25 to campaign. She will hold four rallies beginning from Jind in Haryana followed by a second rally in Faridabad on September 27. The third rally will be held in Karnal on September 30 and the fourth in Yamunanagar on October 1.  Mayawati has also engaged her nephew Akash Anand in this election. Akash Anand will work to strengthen the cadre by holding small public meetings that started on Wednesday.
