Congress and SP driven by Jinnahs spirit, attempting to divide society like him: Yogi

  • | Thursday | 29th August, 2024

In a sharp criticism of the opposition, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath claimed on Wednesday that the Congress and Samajwadi Party, driven by Jinnahs spirit, are attempting to divide society in the same manner. Speaking at a district-level mega employment fair in Aligarh, the chief minister remarked, Jinnah committed the grave sin of dividing the nation, which led to his suffocating demise. Congress and SP are committing a similar sin by dividing society. During the event, Chief Minister Yogi distributed appointment letters to the youth and inaugurated as well as laid the foundation stones for 305 projects worth Rs 705 crore. He further stated that as the country reaches new milestones in development, some people are working to fragment society. Since Prime Minister Narendra Modi took office in 2014, the nation has been advancing. Meanwhile, the opposition is fostering anarchy by sowing seeds of caste discord in society, he said. Targeting the SP, Yogi remarked, Those who achieved nothing during their tenure and were known only for their kaarname (misdeeds), are unsettled by the rule of law in the state. These are the same SP individuals who once justified misconduct with the excuse ladke hain, aur ladkon se galti ho jaati hai (they are boys and boys make mistakes). They were responsible for compromising the safety of their daughters. The chief minister asserted that in the double-engine government, those who jeopardise the safety of daughters and businessmen face a path to Yamlok. He criticised SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, saying he has no right to comment on womens safety. His silence on incidents in Ayodhya, Kannauj and Kolkata speaks volumes, Yogi said. Chief Minister Yogi criticised the Congress, the Samajwadi Party and the Bahujan Samaj Party for undermining social cohesion whenever they were in power. He accused them of using appeasement strategies to divert society from the path of development. Emphasising that under Prime Minister Modis leadership, India is on track to become the worlds largest economy, Yogi stated, Congress has disrespected national heroes such as Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee and Maharaja Mahendra Pratap Singh. The BJP is dedicated to honouring these great figures, as evidenced by the university established in Maharaja Mahendra Pratap Singhs name, he said. He criticised Congress and the SP, accusing them of focusing solely on their own interests. Yogi asserted that the double-engine government practices non-discrimination and will not tolerate anarchy, disorder or hooliganism. Chief Minister Yogi noted that prior to 2017, Uttar Pradesh was grappling with an identity crisis. Today, UP is recognised as one of the leading states in the country. Therefore, we must ensure that this progress continues, as the Samajwadi Party, if given the chance, would bring about riots, looting and anarchy, he said. He emphasised that development is indispensable and employment naturally follows from it, with security being its cornerstone. Good governance cannot be achieved without security, he added. Chief Minister Yogi highlighted that employment fairs, inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, are being held across the state, providing youth with opportunities in the private sector. Meanwhile, Basic Education Minister Sandeep Singh asserted that the Bharatiya Janata Party is committed to a robust agenda of development, contrasting this with the SP, INDI Alliance, and the entire opposition, which, he claimed, engage in destructive propaganda. He emphasised that only the BJP can honour Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar and safeguard the Constitution he crafted. The minister noted that Chief Minister Yogi is guiding the younger generation and attributed the current sense of security among Uttar Pradeshs youth to his vision. He also mentioned that development projects are in progress in the Aligarh region and will continue. At the event, Chief Minister Yogi performed the annaprashan ceremony for two infants. He also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 305 projects totaling Rs 705 crore, aimed at advancing the overall development of Aligarh district. Additionally, during this district-level mega Rozgar Mela, over 63 companies and firms issued appointment letters to more than 5,000 youth across various positions. Loans exceeding Rs 35 crore were granted to eligible individuals and MSME units through various schemes. Moreover, tablets and smartphones were distributed to over 1,500 students under the Swami Vivekananda Yuva Sashaktikaran Yojana. Under the Yogi government, over six and a half lakh youth have secured government jobs in the past seven and a half years. Additionally, more than 3.75 lakh youth have been connected to employment through contracts. The private sector and MSMEs have provided jobs to two crore people. Furthermore, loans exceeding Rs 1.08 lakh crore have been distributed to the states youth through various schemes, including Pradhan Mantri Swarojgar Yojana, Mudra Yojana, Startup, ODOP, MSME and Mukhyamantri Swarojgar Yojana. Cane Development Minister Chaudhary Laxmi Narayan, Basic Education Minister Sandeep Singh, Skill Development and Vocational Education Minister Kapil Dev Agarwal, MP Satish Gautam, Anoop Pradhan, MLA Jaiveer Singh, Ravindra Pal Singh, Rajkumar Sahayogi, Anil Prasar and other dignitaries were present with Chief Minister Yogi in the programme.
