Govt shifts eight IPS officers

In yet another late night reshuffle in the police force, eight IPS officers have been transferred by the state government. According to an official communiqué released on Wednesday morning, Santosh Mishra has been posted as the district police chief of Kushinagar. Abhishek Yadav will be the Superintendent of Police, Railway, in Prayagraj. Uday Shankar Singh has been posted as Superintendent of Police, Training and Security, in Lucknow while Dhawal Jaiswal has been given the charge of Superintendent of Police of Fatehpur. Shubham Patel has been posted as Superintendent of Police, Intelligence Headquarters, Lucknow. Shraddha Narendra Pandey has been made Commandant of 38th battalion PAC Aligarh. Vivek Chand Yadav has been posted as DCP in Prayagraj. Ajay Kumar has been made the commandant of 32nd Battalion PAC. Meanwhile, four senior IPS officers along with 14 officers of the Provincial Police Service (PPS) cadre of Uttar Pradesh retired on Wednesday.  Those who retired included ADG, Special Investigation, Tanuja Shrivastava;  ADG, Training Directorate, Sunil Kumar Gupta; SP Railway Ashtabhuja Prasad Singh and SP, Women and Child Welfare, Ruchita Chaudhary.
