After accusing Muslims of not supporting her party even after she gave them maximum representation during ticket distribution in the just concluded parliamentary elections, Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati, on Friday, started a crackdown against the community by expelling Majid Ali, who was a candidate from Saharanpur, from the party. Majid came in third place with 1.80 lakh votes. The party also expelled Majid Alis elder brother and Bollywood actor Kamal Rashid Khan (KRK) from the BSP. Partys district president Janeshwar Prasad confirmed Majid Alis expulsion from the BSP. In the expulsion letter issued by BSP district president Janeshwar Prasad, it has been said that Majid Ali and his elder brother KRK, a resident of Mumbai, have been expelled from the Bahujan Samaj Party for being involved in anti-party activities and indiscipline. The letter states that Majid Ali had been warned several times, but despite this, there was no improvement in his working style and due to this, he was being expelled from the party in the interest of the party and the bahujan samaj movement. In the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections, Majid Ali was made the BSP candidate from Saharanpur but the result was not as expected. Majid Ali stood third by getting 1,80,353 votes. Sources said that indecent comments made on social platform X against BSP supremo Mayawati by Majid Alis elder brother Kamal Rashid Khan, who contested the election on BSP ticket, was also being discussed, and the demand for his arrest has started rising on social media. Kamal Rashid Khan lives in Mumbai. From people associated with BSP to social and political activists, Kamal Rashid Khans act was described as very cheap and they demanded action against him. Meanwhile, Majid Ali, while reacting to his expulsion, stated that Behenji is his leader and whatever decision she takes is acceptable. He said that Behenji made him contest the elections of local body chairmanship, state assembly and Lok Sabha and her decision is acceptable to us. Regarding brother KRKs comment, Majid Ali said that he had nothing to do with his brother. If he has made any comment on Behenji, then action should be taken against him, he added. Meanwhile, another BSP leader, Mohammad Gufran Noor, left the party to join Azad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram) along with his supporters. Gufran took membership of ASP-KR in the presence of partys state president Sunil Kumar Chittor, and Chaudhary Mahendra Singh at Agra headquarters. Gufran Noor has been the district president of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM). The BSP had given a ticket to Gufran Noor from the Aligarh Lok Sabha seat but after his health deteriorated, the party replaced him with Hitendra Upadhyay Bunty. Gufran Noor has left BSP and joined ASP-KR. Along with him Izhar Ahmed, Jamaluddin Malik, Salim Khan, Junaid, Zainuddin Abbasi, Aslam Abbasi, Abid Chaudhary, Imran Alvi and others also joined the party.
