A crowd of failed girl examinees of the ISc exams conducted by the JAC in 2024 gheraoed the Palamu district education officer Durganand Jha today.    The crowd of failed girl examinees comprised two institutions one Government girls plus 2 high school popularly known as KG girls high school and one college YSN Mahila college Daltonganj.    A total of 45 girl examinees of KG girls high school took their ISc exams this year out of which 38 failed. Some girls have failed in one subject, some in two subjects and some in three subjects.    As many as 384 girls of the YSN Mahila College wrote their ISc exams this year out of which 171 girls failed, said the professor in charge of the YSN Mahila college Dr Mohini Gupta.    Jha said, 38 girls out of 45 failed in ISc exams of the KG girls high school. Many have failed in 3 subjects. Incidentally the girls have failed in science subjects like physics, chemistry, biology and maths, whatever may be their subject combination."   Jha said "I have already brought this matter to the notice of the secretary JAC urging him to prevail upon the JAC to take a proper and genuine decision in this regard."   The district education officer said the secretary has assured him of taking up this matter with the chairman of the JAC soon.    Jha said there is a provision of scrutiny which comes for a fee which a failed examinee has to pay.    The professor in charge of the YSN Mahila College Dr Mohini Gupta said that there are many failed girl examinees who have not appeared at all in the internal cum practical exams of the ISc exams and as such their results are bound to be out of the ambit of the pass students.
