Campaign against honking

Young Indians, the youth wing of the Confederation of Indian Industry, organise d a campaign against unnecessary honking called ‘Horn Not OK Please’ on Monday. The campaign is aimed at reducing the incidences of unnecessary vehicle honking in the city. During the campaign, the students explained to motorists the need to reduce honking. It was held at major junctions across the city with Yi Yuva students from various schools leading the campaign, said a press release here. The campaign was organised at Thevara, Fort Kochi, and Karingachira junctions by the students of St. Thomas Girls’ High School, the Delta Study, and Bhavans Munshi Vidyashram.

Tags that could be hung inside vehicles were also given to motorists. The campaign was well received by the public.
