GSVM expels 6 junior doctors for thrashing interns during clash

The six junior doctors were expelled from the hostel with immediate effect.
A preliminary report of the action taken in this case will be submitted to the government on Thursday and a detailed report will be given after the inquiry committee submits its report.According to the preliminary reports of the committee junior doctors trespassed into the hostel (BH-4) of the interns and thrashed them brutally over some past dispute.They also ransacked motorcycles parked on the hostel campus and damaged furniture.
KANPUR: Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Memorial (GSVM) medical college authorities expelled six junior residents (junior doctors) from the hostel on Wednesday for thrashing interns on the college campus.College principal Dr Arti Lalchandani ruled out that it was a case of ragging and said that in the written complaint the students had stated that it was a case of clash.An eight member anti-ragging committee headed by head of pathology department Dr Mahendra Singh is conducting the inquiry into the incident which took place on January 1.
