Three-day street food festival begins in Steel City

A total of 75 stalls from the command areas of Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee, Mango Notified Area Committee and Jugsalai municipality are participating in the food festival. JAMSHEDPUR: After Ranchi and Dhanbad , the three-day street food festival commenced at Gopal Maidan in Jamshedpur on Monday.Organized under the aegis of the state urban development department as part of Shehri Samridhi Utsav scheme of the Central government, the event aims to bring small time vendors and financial institutions under one platform and address the issue for a hassle free disbursement of loans for livelihood endeavours.Urban development minister, C P Singh, who inaugurated the festival said, "The event is aimed to improve the earning capacity of the vendors by integrating them with the market."
