Man’s murder: Wife, lover & daughter held

The trio then strangled him to death.

HYDERABAD: A week after a man was found dead in suspicious circumstances in Keesara , police cracked the case by arresting his wife along with her paramour and 13-year-old daughter on Tuesday.The body of Bera Vasanth, 40, was found by locals of RGK Colony in Ahmedguda village in Keesara mandal on March 13. Police initially booked a case of suspicious death and later altered it to a murder case after the post-mortem report suggested that Vasanth had died of strangulation.During investigation, police found that Vasanth’s wife Bera Renuka, 30, hatched a plan with the help of her lover Devagada Kishore, 24, and daughter to get rid of him. They made Vasanth consume liquor on that fateful day and when he was semi-conscious, they tied his hands and legs. While Renuka caught hold of his hands tightly, the daughter held his legs on her mother’s instructions and Kishore smothered him with a pillow on his face.When Vasanth tried to wriggle out, the accused pushed him during when he sustained a head injury. The trio then strangled him to death. They poured alcohol in his mouth to make it appear as if he had had died of excessive consumption of liquor.Police said after getting drunk, Renuka and her husband would quarrel almost every night over financial and personal issues.
