The Delhi Police amped up its security outside the Canadian High Commission in the national Capitals Chanakyapuri area amid a Hindu-Sikh group held a demonstration condemning the recent attacks on Hindu temples in Canada.  The police put barricades and beefed up police deployment outside the High Commission to ensure there is no breach in law and order. However, this didnt put a stop to angry protestors who had members of Hindu Sikh Global Forum, representing a coalition of Hindu and Sikh communities, members who took out a march to demand a stop to such attacks. These protestors, including the Sikh members, also tried climbing up the barricades despite the police presence and shouted slogans such as Jo bole so nihal, sat sri akal and Justin Trudeau, haye haye. Delhi Police was seen pleading the protestors to stay behind the barricades. "We have deployed additional forces and barricadings outside the High Commission of Canada following a protest march call. No one will be allowed to breach law and order," a senior police officer said. The protestors also held placards with Stop the attacks on temples in Canada, Awaz do Hindu Sikh ek hai, and Na tutege na batege, hum ek hai written on it. This comes after a series of violent incidents targeting Hindu temples in Canada, the latest being at a temple in Brampton on November 4.
