The Delhi Police arrested a 36 year old Punjab based agent for arranging a fake Mexican visa for a passenger. According to the police on Wednesday, the Indira Gandhi International Airport police station arrested a fraudster agent namely Lukesh Kumar for arranging a fake Mexican visa on the passport of the passenger for his journey to Mexico. DCP IGI airport Usha Rangnani said, On April 17, one 25 year old pax Parwinder Singh, resident of Punjab, holding an Indian passport arrived at IGI Airport from Turkey as a deportee. During scrutiny of his travel documents, it was found that he had departed to Mexico via Turkey from IGI Airport but during transit in Turkey, one fake Mexican visa was found affixed on his passport and he was deported back to India. He intended to travel on a passport containing fake visa and cheated Indian Immigration. A Case under section 318(4), 336(3) and 340(2) of BNS and 12 PP Act was registered and investigation of the case was taken up. On interrogation, Singh disclosed that some of his friends had gone abroad for a better livelihood so he also decided to go any abroad country for earning quick money. Thereafter he came in contact with one agent namely Sunny who assured him to arrange his journey to America and a job there with the help of his associates, in lieu of Rs 30 lakhs. Thereafter, on the directions of the agent Sunny, he gave Rs 5 lakhs in cash and his passport to another agent Lucky as and advance amount and it was decided that remaining payment would be given after reaching at the destination point, the DCP added. Lucky arranged tickets and Mexican visa for his journey but he was caught at Istanbul Airport during scrutiny of his travel documents. Lucky was nabbed from one of his hideouts in Ludhiana and arrested in the case. Investigation of the case is in progress to unearth the involvement of other agents and to scrutinize bank accounts of the accused persons and to trace their possible involvement in other similar complaints also, Rangani said.
