The deceased child has been identified as Master Arvind, resident of New Moti Nagar. DCP west Vichitra Veer stated, Enquiry into the matter revealed that the child was playing in the park with open gym equipment installed at A-Block Park, New Moti Nagar. Suddenly, the equipment fell on the childs chest and the child became unconscious. He added that the child was immediately rushed to the hospital, but was declared dead. Currently, his father identified as Sanjay works as a laborer in Saudi Arabia and his mother is a housewife. Reacting to the incident, New Delhi BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj expressed deep sorrow over the death of a child and attributed the incident to negligence in the maintenance of MCD parks.
