Kejriwal only leader who understood pulse of common people: CM Atishi

  • | Monday | 7th October, 2024

Chief Minister Atishi on Sunday called AAP convenor and her predecessor Arvind Kejriwal as the only leader who understood the pulse of Delhis common people and transformed their lives at the Janta ki Adalat mein Kejriwal in Chhatrasal Stadium. In her address, the senior AAP leader emphasized that in just ten years, the Kejriwal government achieved what other governments couldnt in 75 years since independence. From laying 10,000 km of water pipelines to providing free healthcare and transportation for millions of women, Arvind Kejriwal has revolutionised the city, she said. Atishi stated that prior 10 years, Delhi used to face rampant and long power shedding during summers. "Before 2015, there were power cuts lasting up to eight hours. Despite this, people received exorbitant electricity bills, forcing a middle class family to cut back on other expenses to pay the bills. Women in unauthorized colonies had to stand for hours waiting for water tankers, as there were no water pipelines," she said. Further, former Deputy Chief Minister and senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia demanded an apology from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and accused him of halting Delhis progress by incarcerating Arvind Kejriwal under a political conspiracy. Sisodia warned Delhiites that without Arvind Kejriwals leadership, facilities provided by the AAP government to citizens are at risk.
