A three year old girl child was allegedly raped by a 25 year old boy near her house late night on Monday in Delhis Begumpur in Rohini area. According to the police on Wednesday, on Monday, a PCR call regarding rape of a girl child aged about three years was received at Begumpur police station late night. The accused has been nabbed and sent to judicial custody. Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Rohini GS Sandhu informed that upon receiving the complaint, the local police immediately reached the spot in Jain Nagar. The mother of the victim child reported that her three year -old daughter was sleeping on the cot in the street in front of her house, he said. Sandhu added that while the mother went inside, the accused raped her daughter. After some time she noticed that her daughter was missing from the cot. She made a search for her daughter and found her  in the bushes in the vicinity, he said. The mother also claimed that a boy was also present there who ran away after seeing her.  On the statement of the victims mother, a case under section 65 (2) of BNS (Punishment for rape in certain cases ) and section 6 of POCSO Act was registered  at Begumpur police station, he stated. The girl child was also medically examined at Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar hospital . He also remarked that    further investigation is underway in the case. Further, the boy was a distant relative of the girl child..
