Disguised in the backdrop of social unrest created by reservations, Sheikh Hasina was pushed to resign as Prime Minister of Bangladesh. With her recent resignation and subsequent exile to India, it has become evident that both China`s Ministry of State Security (MSS) and India`s Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) have been outmanoeuvred by the CIA.

Sheikh Hasina, known for her vocal stance on regional politics, recently highlighted a connection that many remain unaware of: the alleged involvement of the CIA in the opium trade in Manipur. This connection, she claims, has been instrumental in fueling unrest in the region. According to Hasina, the CIA`s assistance in opium funding aimed to destabilise Manipur, facilitating the establishment of a naval base to exert control over both China and India via Myanmar.

The role of the opium trade, allegedly assisted by the CIA, has been a critical factor in this strategic maneuver . By channelling funds through the opium trade, the CIA is said to have created instability in Manipur, paving the way for a U.S. naval base in the region. This base, strategically located, would serve as a pivotal point to monitor and counter the influence of both India and China, thereby shifting the balance of power in South Asia.

Hasina`s political journey has been marked by tumultuous events. In 1975, after the assassination of her father, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Hasina, along with her sister, took shelter in India. During her six-year exile, she garnered support from both India`s Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) and China`s Ministry of State Security (MSS). This period was crucial for her political grooming and eventual return to Bangladesh in 1981, where she took over the leadership of the Awami League and continued her father`s legacy.

On July 21, the Supreme Court of Bangladesh scaled back the reservation to 7% for specific groups, including the relatives of veterans and others. While the government accepted the ruling, it came after violent protests leading to several clashes, slogans calling PM Hasina a "dictator," and around 40 deaths.

Following the Supreme Court`s ruling, anti-quota protests soon turned anti-government. Protesters demanded PM Sheikh Hasina`s resignation over the excessive violence used to control the protests in July, which led to the death of at least 200 people.

"Down with the Autocrat" slogans, were heard across the streets of Dhaka. On August 2, renewed protests erupted across Bangladesh. Thousands gathered in Dhaka, chanting anti-government slogans, resulting in two deaths and over 100 injuries. In the southwestern district of Khulna, tear gas and rubber bullets were fired, injuring 50 people, and a policeman was killed during the attack.

Protest organizers called for a nationwide non-cooperation movement starting August 4, urging people not to pay taxes and utility bills. Hundreds of thousands of protesters clashed with government supporters, resulting in 72 deaths, including 14 policemen. Former army leaders urged PM Hasina to withdraw troops from the streets.

On August 4, the government announced an indefinite nationwide curfew starting at 6 pm, along with a 3-day general holiday beginning Monday. Additionally, 4G services and all Meta platforms were shut down. Despite this, PM Hasina called for unconditional talks with student leaders, but her offer was rejected.

This controversial assertion, supported by historical and geopolitical analysis, sheds light on the complex dynamics of regional power struggles and the hidden agendas that shape them. The alleged strategic manipulation underscores the intricate web of international relations and covert operations influencing South Asian stability. Deeply influenced by the U. S. Agencies recent success and with public perception against India the new government might take a hostile stance in guerilla relationship with India.
